Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from the University of Dayton in the mid- I990s, Mr. Borst began his career as a special agent in the FBI. Serving assignments in Las Vegas, NV and FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Mr. Borst was one of the architects of the FBI's Intelligence mission post 9/11. In 2007. Mr. Borst was assigned to San Diego, CA to further refine and develop the FBI's Intelligence capabilities on the Southern Border. Mr. Borst was promoted to the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge, where he finished his FBI career as the head of the White Collar Crime and Major Frauds Branch in San Diego. Mr. Borst also served as the commander of the division's emergency response capabilities, which included SWAT, Hostage Negotiation, Evidence Response, and Bomb Technicians.
During his tenure as the head of major frauds, Mr. Borst saw firsthand the rampant fraud and victimization in the real estate sector. This was the seed that grew into Mr. Borst's post-retirement career as a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker. Driven by a deep desire to guide and protect people during one of the largest financial transactions of their life, Mr. Borst takes the time to understand each clients' goals and tailors his services accordingly.
To remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Borst is a member of the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Borst was recently recognized as one of the top real estate professionals in the nation by Best Agents. In addition to being a full-service real estate agent, Mr. Borst holds certifications as a Probate and Trust specialist and a Corporate Relocation specialist. While serving with the FBI, Mr. Borst was recognized with numerous commendations and was a three-time winner of the prestigious Quality Step Increase for sustained exceptional service. Mr. Borst was also honored in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
