With more than five decades of excellence in business management and accounting for the industrial piping supply industry, Mr. Holley has earned distinction as the executive vice president of the Jabo Supply Corporation. Although he originally had no intention of working in a wholesale distribution facility when he worked in public accounting, he has found it to be a favorable choice and the business now has five growing locations. For the past 50 years, he has focused his efforts on managing the business while preparing their financial statements and handling local and state taxes. Additionally, he is a valued member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the West Virginia Board of Accountancy, among other professional organizations.
Prior to his present role, Mr. Holley served honorably as an administrative technician for the United States Army Reserve and completed postgraduate work with the United States Department of Labor. He had also volunteered for the Internal Revenue Service, where he served on the IRS Taxpayer Advocacy Panel representing West Virginia. The panel would periodically review changes from the IRS and he would teach tax classes under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program to help taxpayers file their tax returns and educate volunteers to ensure they understood the tax laws and procedures.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Holley was honored with a Medal of Exceptional Public Service from the Secretary of Defense and was named Ombudsman of the Year by the United States Department of Defense for his volunteer work as a member of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee, which aims to assist reservists and guard members facing challenges with their civilian employers. He was also admitted to the Marshall Lewis College of Business Hall of Fame in 2008.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Holley earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Marshall University in 1968. He also studied law at West Virginia University. Eminently qualified in his field, he is a chartered global management accountant, certified public accountant and certified information technology professional. He is also certified in financial forensics.
Looking to the future, Mr. Holley intends to achieve an annual revenue of $50 million for his company, and presently stands at $48 million. He is confident that she will achieve his sales target through persistent efforts and determination.
