Leveraging more than five decades of excellence in intellectual property law, Mr. Miller has earned distinction as the leader of his own company. In 2019, he founded BIOREMSCI LLC, a biology testing and sampling company that focuses on solving scientific problems in the fields of biological and chemical issues in the service industry. In this capacity, the company serves as a technological successor to his previous brand, Aemerge LLC, where he operated as the owner and chief operating officer from 2012 to 2022. Since originally founding his own business, Mr. Miller has focused his efforts on developing and expanding the products and services of his company on a commercial scale.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Miller honorably served in the U.S. Navy Reserve on active duty for six years, and retired after 20+ years. During his active time, he qualified as an officer of the deck on a Navy submarine and served as well on another nuclear fast-attack submarine; then later developed software that was used by several scientists at Point Mugu to build the first satellite navigation system to replace the old sexton approach to ocean navigation. Now retired from his service, Mr. Miller holds the rank of permanent Commander.
Following his service, Mr. Miller became a Partner, now retired, at KPMG Peat Marwick, and then began his work as a senior project executive and IBM's 1st chief engineer in 2005. He subsequently served as a program manager and chief engineer for SAIC from 2010 until 2012, where he oversaw various alternative and renewable energy programs. Over the course of his career, he has worked on energy, aerospace, agribusiness, medical, manufacturing, insurance, and pharmaceutical projects. Mr. Miller holds over 50 technology patents, and has contributed his own authored works, including "Lt. Rose Bowl Miller: The U.S. Navy's One Man Army," "Concurrent Engineering Design" for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the third edition of "Business Process Re-Engineering: A Management Handbook."
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Miller played football at the University of Alabama from 1963 to 1965, and had to transfer to earned degrees in zoology and chemistry from the University of Washington. He subsequently attained a Master of Business Administration in systems engineering from The George Washington University in 1971 and a Juris Doctor in intellectual property law from the Seattle University School of Law in 1977. Well-qualified in his field, he is a member of the Washington and the District of Columbia Bar Associations, and is a certified Patent Attorney before the US Patent & Trademark Office.
Well-regarded for his professional accomplishments, Mr. Miller was honored with the Engineering Book of the Year from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for his stellar written work. IBM also recognized him with its First Plateau Invention Achievement Awards in 2007 and 2008, and he received several accolades in recognition of his exemplary military service. Within the coming years, Mr. Miller intends to research methods to convert and recycle trash more effectively, noticing the buildup of garbage that is contributing to climate change. He believes there is a way to handle this process more effectively, converting it back to its original molecular form.
