Besides her entrepreneurial efforts, Ms. Lalani has been a medical and scientific liaison with The Binding Site since 2023, educating scientists and clinicians, including oncologists and primary care physicians, as well as patients regarding diagnosing and treating plasma cell disorders. Additionally, she joined Dermani Medspa in 2023 as an aesthetic nurse practitioner specializing in aesthetic services via Botox and dermal filler injectables.
Ms. Lalani's distinguished career in the health care sector began as a registered nurse at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2014. She subsequently worked in the same capacity at Parkland Hospital, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and Piedmont Cancer Institute PC. Between 2020 and 2023, she also worked for Tempus Labs Inc., a biotechnology research organization based in Chicago. Ms. Lalani began as a clinical data manager and rose to serve as a clinical research manager and senior pharma operations manager.
Since entering the industry over a decade ago, Ms. Lalani has identified various barriers to enhancing patient care that can be addressed via innovative, cutting-edge technology. Motivated to implement these resourceful solutions, she became drawn to biotechnology and medical devices and has enjoyed the trajectory of her career.
Ms. Lalani has held a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch since 2014 and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on family practice nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington since 2018. She holds several industry credentials, including Botox and filler injectables, chemotherapy biotherapy certification, and board certification as a family nurse practitioner. To further advance in her career, Ms. Lalani is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing research at Vanderbilt University, where she will begin her studies in Fall of 2024.
