In this capacity, she manages the end-to-end computer workflow from processing data from imaging machines to delivering technical innovation that improves patient outcome. Similarly, Beenish liaises with equipment manufacturers to determine what hardware and software architecture is needed to meet their requirements and works with university hospitals to explore how technology can assist in detecting diseases like cancer at an early stage.
During the early stages of her career, Beenish represented the technical needs of her clients and developed product training materials in artificial intelligence as a technical marketing engineer for Intel. Additionally, she worked for Intel as a CAD engineer and quality and reliability engineer. Before starting her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Technology in electronics engineering from Aligarh Muslim University in India. Subsequently, Beenish received the prestigious Sir Syed global scholar award and Abdul Qayum fellowship to further her education, completing a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Portland State University.
Alongside her work, Beenish has dedicated herself to increasing diversity in the STEM field as a volunteer and member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and board member for Women at Intel Network (WIN). As a member of the SWE leadership coaching committee and WIN, she helps different chapters organize events that retain and mentor female engineers. In her community, she also serves as part of MentorNet and sometimes teaches global karate classes as a 2nd degree black belt. In light of her professional achievements, Beenish won the WE local New Elite Award from the Society of Women Engineers in 2021 and was named to the list of 100 Inspiring Women in the United States in Rising Beyond the Ceiling 2023 edition.
While excelling professionally and giving back to the society, Beenish is an endearing mother to her less than 5 year old children, who she loves raising with her supporting, physician husband.
Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Beenish credits her success to her ingenuity to develop unique solutions that stand out in the technology sector, her tenacity and work ethic, as well as to her family, friends, mentors and all the people who she has met who have helped her get where she is.
