PORTLAND, OR, February 08, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ramzy Hattar has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A well-known restaurateur with roots in the Portland area, Mr. Hattar is the owner of 11 restaurants, including Papi Chulo's, a taqueria serving Mexican regional cuisine, River Pig Saloon, a small chain of bars with locations in Oregon and Texas, and Taylor's Bar & Grill, a favorite watering hole and party spot for Duck fans. Drawing on his strong leadership, relationship-building and marketing skillset, Mr. Hattar specializes in building strong teams and leading them in carrying out his entrepreneurial visions and achieving success. Previously, Mr. Hattar owned Two Wrongs Lounge, Kachka Restaurant and Lardo Restaurant, and he is the owner of two F45 Training locations, a franchise originally from Australia.
Mr. Hattar has garnered several awards, including numerous Top 20 Restaurants in America designations and two Restaurant of the Year Awards, all for Kachka Restaurant, and a 2016 Pearl District Businessman of the Year Award. But his proudest professional achievement to date has been receiving Portland Business Alliance's 2017 Community Ambassador of the Year Award for River Pig Saloon, a prestigious title that recognizes Mr. Hattar's commitment to fostering community and inclusivity through his businesses.
A second-generation restaurateur, Mr. Hattar's introduction to the industry came from his mother, a successful chef and restaurant owner whose passion inspired him to pursue his own career in the culinary arts. In fact, Mr. Hattar credits his professional success to his family, particularly his parents, who provided strong role models and supported him in pursuing his dreams. As he continues to pursue his goals, Mr. Hattar strives to expand his flagship establishment, the River Pig Saloon, into additional cities, with a goal of ten locations in the next decade. To realize this vision, he is currently raising capital and taking steps to ensure that his business continues to grow and thrive.
A volunteer in his local community, Mr. Hattar is a member the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association's Government Affairs Committee, co-chair and vice president of Pearl Biz Support, and a member of the State of Oregon Governor-Appointed Taskforce. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and spearfishing with his two sons, freediving, working out and coaching youth soccer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in international business, with a minor in Russian language, from the University of Oregon.
