Additionally, he worked as the HIPAA Privacy & FOIA Compliance Officer at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center.
Mr. Blumer's military service commenced immediately after high school when he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served four years of active duty as an Ammunition Technician and Platoon Sergeant from 1998 to 2002. Subsequently, he dedicated 16 years to the South Dakota Air National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his time with the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Blumer specialized in munitions for the F-16 Fighter Jet, encompassing tasks such as storing, testing, and delivering munitions.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Blumer is actively involved in civic and community activities. He is a respected member of the American Legion and contributes to veteran organizations like the Veterans Community Project, which provides housing and support services to veterans in need.
