Fintland is an actress, writer, director, and entertainment producer celebrating more than a decade of success in her industry. Her first introduction to the entertainment industry came as a child, when she began modeling and competing in local pageants throughout Florida. Though initially reluctant to participate, Fintland quickly found success, and booked numerous print and runway modeling jobs that allowed her to travel the United States. After winning the title of Model Miss USA, Fintland was offered a role in a feature film that soon led to other opportunities and sparked her interest in technical and behind-the-camera work. While building her career in film, Fintland attended Florida State College at Jacksonville on a track and field scholarship, becoming an award-winning student and athlete before graduating in 1989 with an associate degree in business. Yvette Fintland was also the head coach for Track and Field at Sage Ridge School in Reno Nevada for the season and year of 2016.
Fintland has been credited on numerous film and television projects, including working as a producer on BRSMEdia Corp.'s 2014 series, the "Next Best Bartender" and as an editor for SLR Productions. Since 2019, she has been the chief executive officer of Northern Summit Productions, where she produces, executive producer, and directs a broad range of independent projects. Currently, Fintland is in production on an animated series titled "Chico and Paco Adventures," and is completing a documentary on homelessness, "I Used To Be Your Neighbor," for release in 2024. In addition to her work in production, Fintland actively collaborates with other writers to generate scripts and original concepts and cultivates relationships with financial backers, other executive producers, and performers for future projects.
As a unique voice in media and an advocate for other creators, Fintland was a member of the Reno Film Festival, where she sat on the board as a member of the marketing team from 2008 until 2010. She is active in her community as a volunteer and supporter of charitable outreach benefiting animal rescues, cancer research, and people experiencing homelessness, and has been the recipient of several awards for her community service. Fintland credits her success to her compassion, drive, and the unwavering support of her late mother, whose encouragement provided her with the foundation required to start her own business. In the next five years, Fintland looks forward to continuing to grow and network, and expects to complete at least 20 diverse documentary, narrative, and short-form animation projects. In her personal time, Fintland enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, and snowboarding with family and friends.
