CENTENNIAL, CO, February 13, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James L. Rairdon has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Since 1993, Mr. Rairdon has been a valued faculty member and administrator at National American University. He currently teaches at the rank of full professor, and from 2012 to 2013, he was honored to serve as the academic dean of his division. In both virtual and in-person instructional contexts, Dr. Rairdon consistently contributes to a caring and supportive environment and to the school's mission of sustaining exceptional academic standards.
Dr. Rairdon is a proud veteran of the United States military, having first joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and progressing to the rank of Staff Sergeant as a Site Development Specialist until 1971. While subsequently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at The Ohio State University, he joined the Reserve Officers' Training Corps and completed the Army Ranger course between his junior and senior years, ahead of his 1976 graduation. Notably, Dr. Rairdon considers completion of the rigorous Ranger training, which is a nine-week program that focuses on leadership development, as his most significant accomplishment thus far.
After accepting a commission as a Military Intelligence Officer, Dr. Rairdon honorably served in the United States Army before leaving active duty to secure a corporate position. Hartford Insurance Group welcomed him as a group sales representative, initiating a lengthy tenure with the firm that progressed through promotions to regional manager roles in the St. Louis and Denver offices. To follow, Dr. Rairdon executed a career transition and accepted the title of paralegal with the Rocky Flats Task Force in the Department of Justice before a return to the insurance industry through a role in the Law Department at Great-West Life.
During his 18-year tenure with Great-West Life, Dr. Rairdon completed a Master of Management at Webster University in 1993 and then pursued a terminal degree in his field by completing a Doctor of Management from Colorado Technical University in 2006. During this time, Dr. Rairdon also accepted the opportunity to teach as an adjunct professor at The College of Adult and Graduate Studies at Colorado Christian University, where he humbly accepted the Gold Star Award in 2023, and initiated his affiliation with National American University.
