While developing his career with Wayne State University, Dr. Yang served as the president of the Enterprise Excellence Institute, LLC in 2003. To prepare for his professional journey, Dr. Yang earned a Bachelor of Science from China Petroleum University in 1982 and a Master of Science in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan in 1985. Following these achievements, he attained a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial and operations engineering from the latter institution in 1990.
