SMITHTOWN, NY, February 13, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel W. Aiello, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
For over a decade, Mr. Aiello has achieved remarkable success in resolving cases as a trial lawyer, with notable settlements being north of $2 million. Over the past seven years as a trial lawyer representing people, he has recovered over $30 million in gross settlements as a plaintiff trial lawyer. In practice, he often draws on his prior experiences to best represent his client and prides himself on prioritizing trial readiness, winning the best possible settlements, and finding individuals who want to help others and resolve cases at a good value prior to going to a jury. If the case cannot resolve for what is right and just, Mr. Aiello will take the case to trial as a creative, prepared storyteller, whom, as a former defense and now plaintiff trial attorney, has taken over 100 cases to decision by jury and/or a trial judge.
Mr. Aiello's interest in law spurred from his time refereeing ice hockey games as a teenager into his mid-twenties, having to defend his calls at automatic hearings that resulted when he made a call for a serious infraction. Citing the rules of the USA Hockey organization, he had to defend his calls in a quasi-court system, which inspired him to later pursue a career in law. After completing some pre-law coursework as an undergraduate student at Long Island University, he attended the University at Buffalo Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2010.
After receiving his law degree and passing the bar exam during the following year, Mr. Aiello applied his expertise as a trial lawyer at several firms, including defense work at GEICO as in-house counsel, and later, Cellino & Barnes and Cellino Law before moving to Trantolo & Trantolo Personal Injury Lawyers, where he currently practices. For his involvement in the legal profession and his position, he holds membership with the National Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and he is licensed to practice in both New York and Connecticut. In acknowledgment of his skill set, Mr. Aiello has received several recognitions, including a place in The National Trial Lawyers top 40 under 40 and being named by Top Verdict in the top 100 settlements in New York in 2019 and in the top 50 personal injury settlements in New York in 2022, among others.
In addition to the aforementioned honors, Mr. Aiello was recognized as a Super Lawyer's Rising Star. Along with achieving over a decade of success in his legal profession, he is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain, a U.S. patent holder and has plans to continue to expand his pursuits outside of law, such as becoming an author. In his community, Mr. Aiello helps organize food drives, participates in long-distance trail runs and ultra-marathons at distances up to and north of 50 miles, donates presents to a family-in-need every Christmas, and is involved in Movember, which aims to raise awareness about men's mental health in honor of his brother-in-law, who tragically passed in 2022 at age 35, among other charitable efforts.
In all he has attained in his profession, Mr. Aiello attributes his success to his strong work ethic from his father and his ability to work smarter, not harder, as well as his intrinsic empathy and capacity for taking on the struggles of others, qualities of his grandfather, a Navy and Nassau County Police Department veteran, his mother, a natural caregiver and his wife, a special education teacher and chairperson. In the next five to 10 years, he desires to have a hand in expanding the firm's practice as a firm that treats their clients like family and to raise awareness about the nature and purpose of their work to elevate health and safety in our communities, and giving people, rather than corporations that tend to devalue human dignity and enable bad behavior, the power to value the health of others and right the wrongs of bad actors to effect change for a safer, better world. In focusing on his personal and professional goals, he aims to grow intellectually, take on cases on behalf of both the firm and their clients and bring them to verdict, and become one of the top 100 trial lawyers in the country, and spread good in this world through perseverance and a beacon of courage, fighting for victims, for his young daughters.
