Born and raised in Essexville, Michigan, Mr. Stemmler left home and college behind at the age of 23 to join the United States Marine Corps. After spending four years active duty serving in the Pacific theater (Operation Unified Assistance) and completing a tour of duty in Iraq, his military career was cut short due to injury. In 2011, while living in Wisconsin, he was hired by one of the top insurance restoration companies in the country, and quickly rose to the top of its ranks. After four years with the company, during which he opened a Michigan office for the company, Mr. Stemmler decided to embark on his own endeavor with the creation of United Restoration Disaster Services. With just $25,000, he created the successful company that he runs today.
Mr. Stemmler holds associate degrees in business management and supervisory management from Waukesha Technical Community College, and he is a HAAG Certified Inspector. As a commitment to his field, he is active with the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Builders Association of Michigan, the Lakes Area and Troy chambers of commerce, the National Small Business Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Better Business Bureau.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Stemmler strives to expand his company, with a goal of adding four more offices in two states. Outside of his professional efforts, he enjoys time spent with his family, as well as exercise and attending sporting events. Looking toward the future, Mr. Stemmler hopes to retire in five years' time and then focus his efforts on the nonprofit side of his business.
