During the early stages of her career, Dr. Wang gained valuable expertise in the field as the Beckman Fellow with the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation, a research fellow for the Fox Chase Cancer Center, and a visiting professor with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Before starting her professional journey, she received a Bachelor of Science in theoretical chemistry and a Master of Science in chemistry from Jilin University and Iowa State University. Subsequently, Dr. Wang received a PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from Stony Brook University.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Wang aligns herself with Sigma Xi and the American Chemical Society. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her considerable academic achievements. The cornerstone of her success lies in her internal drive and the wonderful mentors she has had throughout her career, including Professors Wang Zhizhong, Liang Li, Robert A. Jacobson, Mario Rebecchi, El-Maghrabi Raafat, Suzanne Scarlata, Ken Tew, James Gallo, Jianjian Li, Yun Yen, and John Shiverly. Within the coming years, Dr. Wang intends to increase her work in education and research.
