Thereafter, in 2010, he transitioned to the position of project consultant at Odyssey Information Services before moving to CA Technologies, where he took on the role of Senior Software Development Test Engineer. Several years later, Mr. Williams moved to GameStop to apply his previous experience as a Quality Assurance Lead before returning to the role of Senior Software Development Test Engineer at CCH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer North America.
In 2016, Mr. Williams continued on at Wolters Kluwer, rising to fulfill the position of Manager of Software Development for the company's United States tax and accounting division. After several years, he took on various managerial roles: as the Senior Manager of Engineering at Trintech, as an Information Technology Quality Assurance Manager at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, and finally as the Director of Quality Assurance Automation for Bottle Rocket. Coupled with his professional endeavors, Mr. Williams has devoted over a decade of his time to field-related civic engagements.
From 2009 to 2018, Mr. Williams served as a board member, vice president, and membership committee chair of the Dallas Fort Worth Quality Assurance Association, a software quality assurance user group affiliated with Quality Assurance Institute Global Institute, which he helped establish. Along with other leaders in the area, he worked with overarching international companies to establish a conference with industry leaders across the world to discuss test automation, quality assurance practices, software engineering, and other related areas in the field. Furthermore, Mr. Williams is the past president of Northeast Tarrant County A&M Club, where he has continued to serve as a board member and the vice president of informational technology, positions he has held since 2013.
In all he has achieved, Mr. Williams credits his success to his thirst for knowledge and his curiosity and passion for technology, which emerged in his youth. Such a fascination with looking at technology systems and examining their intricacies was noticed by his mother, who took the initiative to enroll him in a computer design graphics class when he was in elementary school—an experience that solidified his career interest in computing. Coupled with his passion for technology, Mr. Williams is unafraid of exploring new technologies that may provide better solutions and always maintains a positive mindset.
Mr. Williams holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. While attending the University of Phoenix, he was inducted into Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. Along with his degrees, educational honors, and various other software-specific licenses and certifications, he received an Executive Education certification in Artificial Intelligence for implications for business strategy in 2019 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
In the next five to 10 years, Mr. Williams has set a personal goal to continue growing and learning. Additionally, he aims to assist individuals in advancing their careers. Specifically, Mr. Williams aspires to become a mentor for those in the younger generation interested in pursuing a career in the field of technology to help them nurture their passion.
