Affiliated with Gannett Fleming for a decade, Ms. Templeton has garnered significant progressive roles, beginning as a project engineer and project manager in 2014, then as an office principal in 2021, and as west structures department manager and project principal in 2023. Specializing as a structural engineer, she remains involved in technical work. She also manages projects from the overall project management standpoint and all structural engineering aspects. Additionally, Ms. Templeton oversees all office administration operations and scheduling of all employees for various projects, ensuring a manageable workload.
Before joining Gannett Fleming, Ms. Templeton was a structural and civil engineer at M3 Engineering & Technology, an organization dedicated to providing design and construction services from project conception to final testing and integration primarily for mining projects. Moving forward, Ms. Templeton aims to further her capabilities by becoming registered in several other states, such as Hawaii, Nevada, and California.
Civically invested, Ms. Templeton is active as a volunteer at her local Catholic church. She also volunteers with the Foundation for Blind Children in Arizona.
Ms. Templeton graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Master of Science in structural engineering in 2011 and 2013, respectively. She also received certification in confined space training, a certificate of training through the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and an engineer in training through the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration. Moreover, Ms. Templeton received credentials as a professional engineer through the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
Active in her professional community, Ms. Templeton is a member of the International Concrete Repair Institute. She is also active as a member and committee chair of the Structural Engineering Association of Arizona, previously served in multiple board roles on the Phoenix branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and is currently the president-elect of the Arizona Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Ms. Templeton has been recognized for her remarkable contributions to her field with several accolades. Among them, ASCE named her as the Kristina L. Swallow Young Engineer of the Year. This regional honor recognized her dedication to the profession, community service, and progression in leading the industry forward. The society also honored Ms. Templeton with a President's Award and an Arizona Civil Engineer Distinguished Service Award. She also received recognition as a Southwest Top Young Pros by the Engineering News-Record. She attributes her success to the support of her family and several influential mentors and leaders.
