With more than three decades of excellence in Residential and Commercial Property Management, Ms. Cates has earned distinction as the Director of the Board of Directors for the Founders Village Metro District. Since 2021, she has focused her efforts on improving the lives of people in her surrounding area. Currently working on the Water District Board, which operates in collaboration with the town of Castle Rock, Colorado and other board members to initiate the approval of new district projects. She and her colleagues consider all aspects of the community and work towards enacting various improvements.
Additionally, Ms. Cates is a Real Estate Broker for Keller Williams Realty, DTC and has been the Owner and Broker for Property Handlers Real Estate, LLC from 2007 – 2020. Having been involved in real estate for more than 30 years, she is dedicated to providing consultations to her clients on various financial matters, relocation needs and other aspects of the moving process. Among her professional accomplishments, she has been honored with 2 Bronze Medal Awards from Keller Williams Realty, DTC.
Before her present roles, Ms. Cates served as an Account Manager for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2002 and became the Vice President of Career Development for Weichert Realtors in 2004. Eminently qualified in her field, she is a Certified Value Specialist with the Armburst Real Estate Academy and holds a real estate license in real estate development from the American Real Estate College. A graduate of the REALTOR® Institute, she is a Senior Real Estate Specialist, Luxury Home Specialist, Certified Short Sales and Foreclosure Research and Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist, among other credentials. Ms. Cates is Certified to assist with our Military, past and present.
Looking to the future, Ms. Cates intends to achieve a comfortable financial situation for retirement while continuing to work in real estate. As part of this, she is expanding her marketing efforts and diversifying into the senior niche, taking advantage of the opportunities presented by the numerous residential communities and buildings for seniors aged 55 and older in the Castle Rock area. Mary is, also, in the process of applying for a volunteer position for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. She would like to expand her contribution to the community.
