For nearly 15 years, Mr. Strong has worked for Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch LLP, first as an associate in the litigation department, and now as counsel in the bankruptcy and restructuring group and the litigation and dispute resolution group. He represents a wide range of clients in complex commercial disputes, structured finance transaction disputes, insurance and reinsurance litigation, and related appellate matters in both state and federal courts. Prior to his time at Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch, Mr. Strong earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and psychology from Colgate University, where he was inducted into Alpha Tau Omega.
Upon graduating, Mr. Strong started his career in politics, working as a regional informational manager for the Republican National Committee and then as a liaison between the Presidential Inaugural Committee and member of Congress for the second inauguration of George W. Bush Jr. His time in Washington continued on, with him working as a schedule C appointee in the office of the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Labor. Thereafter, he served as a site press lead for the White House Advance Office in the Office of the Vice President of the United States of America for Dick Cheney.
Following his professional experience in politics, Mr. Strong pursued a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law, where he served as the articles and notes editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review and co-founded and was the law student president of CLARO, a pro bono legal clinic that provides legal advice to low-income individuals being sued by debt collectors. During the summers, he continued to gain field experience by holding several internships. In 2007, he worked as a summer associate for the Brooklyn Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project and, in 2008, he interned for the King County District Attorney's Office Appeals Bureau.
After earning his law degree, Mr. Strong was a law clerk for Judge Elizabeth Stong at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York. After a temporary stint at another law firm, Mr. Strong found his way to Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch in 2011. As a result of his professional focus, Mr. Strong is a member of the New York State Bar Association; the Southern District of New York Federal Bar Association, participating in the securities law section; and the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.
From 2014 to 2022, he was consistently recognized on the New York Super Lawyers Rising Star list for his work as a securities and bankruptcy litigator. Furthermore, in 2019, he was the recipient of the CLARO Award from Fordham University School of Law in honor of his efforts with the CLARO pro bono legal clinic.
Recently, in 2023, Mr. Strong was selected as a panelist by Legal Week concerning the effect of artificial intelligence in the legal field. In the next five to 10 years, his career goal centers around continuing to help his law firm grow, as well as his own practice.
