After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from St. Lawrence University, Ms. Senesky expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Arts in Spanish from Middlebury College. Subsequently, she embarked on a decades-long career in education. For the first two and a half decades of her career, she worked as a teacher for Hillsborough High School. Over the years, Ms. Senesky also gained valuable expertise in the field of Spanish language education as an advanced placement Spanish teacher first with Bound Brook High School for a year-and-a-half during which time she organized a trip to Spain for 49 students in her upper-level classes. She then took a year-and-a-half break to have her second child , Alan Daniel González. She returned to teaching full-time in 1976 at Hillsborough High School where she established their high school tennis program coaching girl's tennis for seven years. At another point in her career, she taught at Kent Place School and Princeton Day School.
Before moving back to the USA in 1971, Ms. Senesky taught English in Valencia, where she was living at the time, to students who were studying to complete their degree to be radiotelegrafistas at the nearby Escuela Náutica. She was married and had her first child, Alejandra Maria Gonzalez during that period of time.
In conjunction with her work, she has contributed to her community by assisting other teachers with Hispanic-centric activities at Kent Place School and through volunteer initiatives at her local church.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Senesky takes the most pride in her overall career as a teacher. She has built meaningful relationships with her students, many of whom continue to reach out to her. The cornerstone of her success lies in her reputation in the community as an effective educator. Looking toward the future, Ms. Senesky intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career. She is also looking forward to traveling internationally.
