CHICAGO, IL, February 21, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Layla Bitoy-Dillon has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A highly regarded entrepreneur from Chicago, Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon is distinguished for over a decade of dedication to the food and beverage industry. As CEO & Founder of Bitoy's Sweet Treats, she leads the company in its mission to infuse love and fun into the world with authentic handcrafted treats while helping restore underserved communities. Bitoy's unique handcrafted treats, such as gelato, popcorn, and confections, help create magical memories centered around food, family, and fun with a commitment to sustainability and economic development. Among her many career accomplishments, Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon is particularly proud of product placement in O'Hare/Midway Airports, The United Center, and the World Trade Center; these are especially noteworthy accomplishments given the competitive nature of the specialty snacks category and the lack of minority representation in the food industry. With the support of her husband's firm (Dillon Management Systems), the brand has undergone a digital transformation, using Microsoft 365 solutions to leverage data and analytics, helping set her apart from the competition.
Well-regarded for her contributions to the field, Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon received several awards and recognitions. In 2023 alone, she participated in Pepsi's "Dig In" Program and won 1st place in the Teamwork Englewood Small Business Plan Competition and BEYGOOD's Black Parade/ Renaissance Tour Small Business Pitch Competition. In addition, she was acknowledged by the Chicago Bears' 2022 Small Business All-Pros Game Day Eats Edition, was part of the Chicago Blackhawks' 2021 Support West Cohort, and now sits on the business advisory board.
Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon learned about economic development and entrepreneurship from her father, a successful entrepreneur active in the restaurant and nightclub industries throughout Chicago. While expanding the brand's reach domestically and internationally, she is committed to building Bitoy's Sweet Treats into a brand focused on luxurious high-end gifts that create unforgettable memories and promote sustainability, family, and community togetherness.
As CEO, Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon oversees the company's strategy and operations while continuing to build a culture of collaboration and innovation. With a background in Management Consulting (Accenture) she also does consulting with InsighTechs Strategy & Solutions focused on "small business". She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Clark Atlanta University and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Mrs. Bitoy-Dillon sits on the boards of Change 4 Children Inc., and BUILD Chicago. As a commitment to her field, she is active with the National Restaurant Association and the Illinois Restaurant Association.
