Mr. Kaspar considers his ability to assist students to be his proudest accomplishment

Mr. Kaspar is a seasoned academic administrator who has dedicated nearly three decades to serving students and staff at Hofstra University. He graduated from Fairfield University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in business management, and began a career in retail before being offered a graduate assistantship in the office of admissions at Hofstra University. For the next two years, Mr. Kaspar worked in the school's admissions office while completing graduate-level coursework, and in 1998 he was awarded a Master of Business Administration in banking and finance by Hofstra University.
Mr. Kaspar remained with Hofstra University after concluding his graduate assistant position, and in 1997 he was named assistant dean of admissions. The following year, he became assistant director and SAR administrator for Hofstra University's Office of Student Accounts, rising to become associate director of the office in 1998 and acting director from 2000 until 2004. Mr. Kaspar transitioned from managing student accounts to serving as assistant registrar for the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2004, and in 2007 he was promoted to become the school's assistant dean for academic records and registrar, a position he would hold for the next 11 years. In 2018, he was named associate dean and registrar, and since 2023, he has held his current role as senior associate dean for academic records and registrar. Mr. Kaspar is responsible for ensuring all law students meet graduation requirements, awarding Master of Laws and Juris Doctor degrees, and certifying graduates to sit for the bar examination, in addition to scheduling all law school classes, faculty, and examinations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kaspar has developed a reputation for his dedication to the Hofstra University community, and he is a four-time winner of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law Administrator of the Semester award. Mr. Kaspar considers his ability to assist students to be his proudest accomplishment, and remembers working closely with one student throughout her time as an undergraduate and law student at Hofstra University, culminating in her returning to the school as an adjunct professor. As a part of his commitment to growth and excellence as an administrator, Mr. Kaspar is a member of the National Network of Law School Officers, the New Jersey-New York Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admissions, and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. He looks forward to remaining with Hofstra University, with the goal of reaching fifty years of service before retirement. In his personal time, Mr. Kaspar enjoys bowling, spending time with family, and relaxing at an area resort.
