Ms. Plaza also wants to create a coaching program that will give people the confidence to navigate the citizenship process and acquire the necessary skills for a successful citizenship exam.
STAMFORD, CT, February 22, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra Plaza has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Ms. Plaza (f/k/a Sandra Patricia Calvache Gonzalez), originally attended medical school before realizing it wasn't her calling. During a conference in which a congressman spoke about guerillas in her home country of Colombia, she discovered a new way to help people as an attorney. After starting her career as an International Law Consultant with Akst & Akst in 2006, Ms. Plaza joined Fargomen in 2017, and Goldstein & Lee in 2018 as an immigration paralegal, where she managed employment visa processes for foreign specialized knowledge professionals and managers, along with PERM process for several small companies, large real estate management Japanese companies, and a large Japanese bank.
Over the years, Ms. Plaza gained valuable experience in law as a senior immigration paralegal for Satterlee Stephens LLP. Backed by her considerable knowledge, she excels as a foreign attorney and as a senior immigration paralegal for Duane Morris LLP. As a member of the immigration team, she prepares visa petitions for investors who are interested in investing in the United States, executive businesspeople who are being transferred to the U.S. from other countries, foreign talents who are being hired on a temporary or permanent basis, and people with extraordinary abilities in multiple fields of the arts or business.
An expert in her field, Ms. Plaza holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration and Constitutional Law from "Externado de Colombia" University and a JD from "Caldas University" in Colombia, as well as a Master of Laws in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University's School of Law in New York City. Alongside her work, she contributes to her community by volunteering with various nonprofit organizations, including ACHACT, through which she assists immigrants in becoming citizens of the U.S.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Plaza has taken the most pride in promoting peace and alternative resolution of conflicts since her childhood in Colombia. The cornerstone of her success lies in the love and support of her parents, who have consistently encouraged her to follow her dreams, her faith in God, and her desire to provide a better life for her daughter – away from the violence in Colombia. Looking toward the future, she and a colleague from Colombia aim to start work on a project that will help children connect with reality and step away from the screens that are ever-present in their lives. Ultimately, Ms. Plaza also wants to create a coaching program that will give people the confidence to navigate the citizenship process and acquire the necessary skills for a successful citizenship exam.
