DORAVILLE, GA, February 27, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jane Ewe has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Ewe is a district manager for Sweet Hut Bakery & Café, a privately owned family business with six locations throughout Georgia. Specializing in Asian baked goods, including a large assortment of cakes, cookies, mousse, and custom wedding cakes, the café also offers a full menu of hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and platters for parties. The eatery has notably been in business since 2012.
Initially joining her parents and uncle's storefront in 2014, Ms. Ewe spent her time in the kitchen making bread and other goods. At the time, she had just graduated from college and was a chemical engineer working in manufacturing at Kimberly-Clark, a global leader in health and personal care products. Drawing a sense of satisfaction from working for her family-owned Asian business, Ms. Ewe continued to progress.
Among a range of responsibilities, Ms. Ewe addresses quality and management issues that may arise. She also strives to promote the company as a culturally significant cuisine in the U.S. Additionally, since joining the business, Ms. Ewe has become recognized for creating a chain restaurant, Food Terminal, which offers traditional Southeast Malaysian food.
Grateful to give back to the community through her work, Ms. Ewe notes that when her family opened the café, approximately 90% of new hires were immigrants, mainly from Malaysia. The café was instrumental in providing them with jobs and a community where they could work, speak their language, and acclimate to their new environment with ease. Apart from her work, Ms. Ewe has been active civically, frequently donating and sponsoring activities and organizations that support Asian Americans.
Born in Malaysia, Ms. Ewe graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering. In light of her success, she was recognized by the City of Doraville, Georgia, with a Model Business of the Year Award in 2012 and 2022.
