SANTA MONICA, CA, February 28, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Luann Weigand has been recently inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected partly on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into consideration during the selection process.
Dr. Weigand is a seasoned expert in the field of human behavior. Having garnered early success as a psychiatric social worker on a hospital treatment team, she subsequently launched a private practice. In that role, she guided patients with tools from the Strengths Approach theory, which proved to be highly effective. Since that time, she has done extensive research on the neuroscientific benefits of directed mental focus and spiritual practices. With her findings, she has been successful in motivating readers and clients to implement known interventions which change behaviors that interfere with well-being.
A pioneer in the positive psychology movement launched in the late 1990s, Dr. Weigand has been a trailblazer in helping to redirect the focus of mental challenges from neurosis to health. Going forward, she aims to continue her research on the latest discoveries in positive psychology, both based in neuroscience and otherwise, for empowering people to access their full potential and enjoy lives with meaning and purpose.
A collection of Dr. Weigand's research findings can be found in her books, where she goes by the pen name of "Luann Robinson Hull." Happily Ever After…Right Now: Stop Searching for Mr. Right and Start Celebrating You, her debut book first published in 2010, highlights her studies on human evolution and how our beginnings as a species has impacted current relationship trends. Her second book, Self Belonging: Embrace the Wisdom of Soul and Science to Live Your Best Life, released in 2022, continues to explore human development through the combined lens of science and spirituality, expanding on the themes presented in Happily. Recognized as an educational memoir, the book shares wisdom from the author's life experiences on how to overcome relationship challenges. Happily Ever After…Right Now, earned her a win in the Spiritual Category at the 2012 New England Book Festival, Runner Up in the Spiritual Category at the New York Book Festival, 2011, and the "Book Excellence Award" for literary excellence, 2015.
Dr. Weigand also co-founded the Conscious Global Leadership Conference at the Aspen Institute in 2010. This was designed to promote positive global change by bringing leaders across all genres together to guide them in practices to support their character and consciousness. Participants were led by the late, acclaimed, spiritual leader, Father Thomas Keating, with whom Dr. Weigand (alongside co-founder and Olympic athlete, Tara Sheahan) planned the conference.
As a result of her lifelong quest for answers to the riddle of human challenges, Dr. Weigand has forged relationships with prominent teachers, spiritual leaders, and various dignitaries worldwide. She was a finalist for the Oprah Winfrey Show, a featured blogger for the Huffington Post, and frequently publishes inspirational articles on her own website, luannrobinsonhull.com. In addition, she has been widely interviewed on blog-talk radio and other broadcasts.
Dr. Weigand graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Millikin University, a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas (where she received the "Margo Award for Excellence in the Clinical Practicum" in 1992), and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the University of Creation Spirituality. In addition, she has expanded her credentials to include being a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, and has led and attended numerous workshops world-wide.
Dr. Weigand has served on a number of Advisory Boards, including, The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare, The Kansas Children's Service League, and Roots and Wings, a child-welfare organization which assists children in foster-care. She is a trained hospice volunteer.
