After 15 years in the field of education, the spirit of entrepreneurship led her to a different path, and she chose to leave the school system and became a licensed real estate agent and mortgage loan officer with Infinity 1 Financial, holding her own business name, business licenses and a store front located in Cypress, Texas. She catered to clients who did not believe they could qualify as a homeowner, and not only developed a lucrative business, but created multiple opportunities for those clients to successfully accomplish their dreams of loan approval, and ultimately home ownership. Although the business productively progressed, the market was affected by the crashing loan industry, subsequently Ms. Dawson joined a regional bank as a training and development coordinator. Backed by years of varied professional experience, Ms. Dawson now excels as a business analyst with a bank, where she operates as a bank officer and manages supplier contracts in Supply Chain Management. Ms. Dawson also remains a valuable member of the real estate community.
An expert in her field, Ms. Dawson studied business management at Ashworth College, graduated with honors at a technical college and completed courses at her local university and local junior college. In conjunction with her work and studies, she has contributed to her community by fundraising for organizations and causes which are important to her, such as United Way and its subsidiaries, and has received notoriety for her work for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Likewise, she regularly contributes to the United Negro College Fund and has participated in several 5K runs for breast cancer awareness with Susan G. Komen. She is also an advocate for drug and alcohol rehabilitation and has served as a motivator and mentor to youths, in several community programs.
