As a dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Parish honorably served his country as a hospital administrator in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 2003, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel. He has since devoted his time to volunteerism. He is involved in fundraising events and charities that support children in need of cleft palate surgery and those with various other mental health conditions. Additionally, Mr. Parish donates to organizations focusing on lowering recidivism and local professional development societies.
Mr. Parish graduated with an associate degree in dental laboratory technology and a bachelor's degree in health care management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He also acquired a Master of Human Resource Development with a specialization in organizational development from Webster University. During his college years, Mr. Parish was inducted into Delta Tau.
Mr. Parish is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Medical Administrators and a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. In light of his accomplishments, he received the Medical Service Corps Senior Officer of the Year Award in 1999 and was decorated with numerous medals and honors from the U.S. Air Force. He was previously recognized as a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps Program. Mr. Parish draws immense satisfaction from the guidance and mentorship he received from several exceptional leaders whom he believed were instrumental in his career.
