NEW YORK, NY, March 04, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frances Iger Laterman, private art dealer and consultant with L'Esprit d'Art, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the New York City regional edition of Forbes magazine.
Motivated by a passion for beauty in all forms, Frances Iger Laterman has distinguished herself as an expert in the classical contemporary arts, having served as a private art dealer and consultant for the artistic community of New York and several in France and Italy since 1982. As the owner of L'Esprit d'Art, she leverages a keen eye for color, form and detail when providing services for her clients, many of whom have come to implicitly trust her ability to protect their interests and foster their success. Among her most cherished accomplishments, Ms. Laterman is particularly proud to have helped others cultivate a deeper appreciation for paintings and drawings, some of whom have gone on to amass collections as a result of her insightful teaching and enthusiasm.
Ms. Laterman became involved in her profession by chance, having worked at Saks Fifth Avenue in advertising before transitioning to the fashion industry. She subsequently identified the bridge to her next vocation in the form of a friend — a French model whose husband was a talented artist. At the request of her friend, Ms. Laterman arranged an art show on his behalf. After a successful showing, several additional artists approached her with similar requests for representation. With the encouragement and support of her late husband, Bernard, she launched a career that has seen more than four decades of success. To remain aware of developments in her field, she maintains affiliation with such organizations as the American Federation of Arts and diligent attendance at important art fairs and major gallery shows.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Laterman attributes her sense of integrity and the trust she has engendered in the various artists with whom she has collaborated. Likewise, she is grateful for the eye for fashion and art with which she was born and has cultivated after many decades of experience. Looking toward the future, Ms. Laterman aspires to return to a favorite pastime of traveling while maintaining connections with select artists.
Ms. Laterman studied fine arts and liberal arts at Syracuse University, from which she graduated in 1959.
