He emphasizes the transformative impact of investing in work that enriches the lives of others, an experience he witnesses each time a child undergoes their initial horse-riding experience.
DETROIT, MI, March 08, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ty Townsend has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Townsend has earned distinction as the executive director of Horsen Round, a non-profit organization centered on animal rescue, rehabilitation, and relocation. As he explained, "Horsen Round bridges the gap between saving horses from slaughter and giving them a second chance at life while at the same time giving inner city youth an opportunity to experience youth equestrian programs." Since 2021, he has focused his efforts on leading the operations while coordinating volunteers for events. He conducts fundraising initiatives that aim to facilitate program access for children with disabilities. The organization offers equine therapy, horsemanship, youth riding camps, and animal rescue, rehabilitation and relocation while maintaining an online store for merchandise, donations and volunteer involvement.
Before his present role, Mr. Townsend served honorably as a radioman for the United States Coast Guard and transported troops and cargo for the United States Marine Corps for two years. Following his military service, he worked as a stage manager for Next Level Productions and Promotions from 1992 until 2022, also serving as a road manager in 2019. Notably, he was a production assistant on the 1993 film "Deep Cover" and was given a line in the film, enabling him to acquire his Screen Actors Guild union card. To prepare for his professional journey, he earned a certificate of completion for television production at the Film Group Institute and attended West Los Angeles College. He is also a valued member of Promotional Products Association International.
Within the coming years, Mr. Townsend intends to acquire a four- or five-acre ranch to provide a permanent home for the rescued horses, eliminating the need for frequent relocations and allowing the horses to live their lives freely in the pasture. He emphasizes the transformative impact of investing in work that enriches the lives of others, an experience he witnesses each time a child undergoes their initial horse-riding experience.
