Emphasizing the significance of kindness and support between individuals in her medical practice, Mrs. Cardoso has earned distinction as a registered nurse with Rhode Island Hospital. Since 2008, she has focused her efforts on caring for adult patients in the hospital's medical-surgical unit, helping to treat and manage various conditions such as diabetes, wound dressing and patient withdrawal from alcohol or drugs. Additionally, she has served as a substitute school nurse for the East Providence School Department since 2021.
