Leading up to her entry into the health care sector, Ms. Kaushal received two master's degrees in her home country of India, a Master of Science in life science and a Master of Science in biosciences and bioengineering from the Indian Institutes of Technology, where she was a Dean's List student. Thereafter, she continued to pursue additional degrees in the United States, attending Lehigh University to earn a Master of Science in molecular biology followed by a Master of Business Administration. Her expertise in this area is a testament to her two decades of experience in the field and has inspired the development of an innovative for-profit cancer mobile screening unit.
Since its launch in April of 2022, the mobile unit has traveled throughout the five boroughs of New York, screening patients who cannot afford a visit to a doctor's office or annual exams. To date, over 5,000 patients have been screened, upholding the unit's primary goal of detecting prostate cancer early to provide better treatment options. Such an innovation is the first of its kind in the United States and has garnered widespread attention, including from the "Today Show" and celebrities like Steve Harvey and Chris Tucker, for its unique approach to providing accessible cancer screenings.
Prior to her current role at Mount Sinai Health System, Ms. Kaushal served as Cordis' interim chief marketing officer from 2018 to 2019, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company's marketing strategies. There, she built upon the product management and marketing experience she previously gained during her tenure at Enzo Biochem, where she contributed to the company as senior manager of product marketing strategy from 2014 to 2017.
Concurrently, during her first year at Enzo Biochem, Ms. Kaushal served as a global manager of product marketing at Genewiz, a role that provided her with extensive experience in global marketing initiatives and strategic planning. Outside of her aforementioned professional experience, she additionally gained career-related expertise at Evonik Industries, Johnson & Johnson, and a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, Centocor. Alongside her career pursuits and innovations, Ms. Kaushal serves on GeoClimate Solutions Inc.'s advisory board and volunteers for AccentCare Hospice.
Following a brief hiatus, Ms. Kaushal is eager to resume her work at Mount Sinai Health System. Looking forward, she hopes to continue to make a difference in the health care field.
