Dr. St. Paul is an established physician and a senior medical director at Syneos Health. He is responsible for directing the full scope oversight of Phases I through III clinical trials for the development of cytotoxic chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, therapeutic anti-cancer vaccines, immune checkpoint inhibitors, novel immunomodulatory drugs, and targeted therapy in the treatment of various cancer types. He served as a representative for Medical Affairs in business development, protocol design and planning, coaching, mentoring, medical monitoring, data review, data analysis, pharmacovigilance, risk assessment, and risk mitigation activities. Additionally, Dr. St. Paul has garnered success as a medical director of medical affairs, clinical operations, safety, and pharmacovigilance at Covance in Princeton, New Jersey. Since 2011, he has overseen phase I-IV clinical trials in GI, colorectal, hepatocellular, pancreatic, prostate, breast, kidney, and ovarian cancers in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. His work involved extensive collaboration with colleagues from the translation medicine, clinical pharmacology, statistics and research disciplines.

Inspired by many family members who worked in the health care industry, Dr. St. Paul began volunteering at a hospital in his native country while in high school. At 18, he began teaching science and biology classes in Grenada for over a year before receiving a scholarship from St. George's University School of Medicine to travel to the U.S. for a pre-medicine program. Despite his initial intent to return home, Dr. St. Paul remained in America. Eager for the future of his career, he plans to continue dedicating himself to medical research while increasing his involvement in volunteer work to help alleviate poverty and health care crises worldwide. In his immediate community, he is involved with mentoring young students to help secure their future.

Dr. St. Paul began his career as a clinical research physician, sub-investigator, and clinician at Howard University Hospital (Clinical Trial Unit) in Washington, D.C. where he partnered with Aids Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) to conduct and monitor multiple clinical trials for patients with HIV and other trials with cancer therapeutics. He relocated to New Jersey to work as a medical advisor of medical affairs and drug safety at KERN McNeil International, then as a medical director at i3 Research. Moreover, Dr. St. Paul spent time in Baltimore as a medical and independent research consultant.

Dr. St. Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and pre-medicine from Hunter College and a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He was an intern and resident at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. During his medical studies, Dr. St. Paul notably served on the university's admissions committee with the dean and mentored students who were not convinced they wanted to attain a college education. Among his many extracurricular activities, part-time involvement with clinical study management at a local OB/GYN MD practice in Brooklyn, New York, was his first experience with clinical trial execution.

As part of his professional commitments, Dr. St. Paul is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians, and the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
