Mr. Dillon was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent, beginning in 1987 and subsequently earning roles as a Supervisory Senior Resident Agent and Supervisory Special Agent. During his 25-year tenure with the Bureau, Mr. Dillon focused on Bank Fraud, HealthCare Fraud, Complex Financial Crimes, Bribery/Corruption, Money Laundering, Code of Conduct investigations and Terrorism. He demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, as evidenced by his positioning and leadership of the FBI's North Texas Resident Agencies as the preeminent law enforcement agency in the region, as Mr. Dillon established and supervised multiple Task Forces and working groups involved in these and other issues.
Mr. Dillon possesses more than three decades of expertise conducting investigations of various fraud schemes, complex financial crimes, code of conduct and security matters. Following his retirement from the FBI, Mr. Dillon presents a distinguished career in the private sector working for high profile companies including Bickel & Brewer as a Senior Director of Investigations, KPMG LLP as a Director in the Advisory Services Practice, and the Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) where he specialized in HealthCare fraud providing leadership in fraud, waste, and abuse investigations. During the earlier stage of his career, Mr. Dillon was an Associate National Bank Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and a Budget Analyst for Niagara Mohawk.
Currently, Mr. Dillon serves as the president of Dillon Consulting & Investigative Services LLC in Plano, Texas as an investigative and risk consulting expert for the private sector. He is responsible for identifying and evaluating threats that third parties may pose to the facilities and personnel of client companies. He also collaborates closely with client Ethics and Compliance Departments to conduct investigations regarding code of conduct violations and fraud committed by employees, contractors and other person/entities. Besides his work with individual clients Mr. Dillon conducts compliance based reviews for the National Football League, and provides political background research services for national political organizations.
During his active public and private sector careers Mr. Dillon has, and continues, to maintain a good work/life balance devoting time to his children and grandchildren. Civically active, Mr. Dillon participates through his Church, Prince of Peace Catholic Community, as a parishioner and former Board member. He also has spent many years coaching youth baseball, football and basketball.
Mr. Dillon graduated from Le Moyne College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Mr. Dillon holds credentials as a Certified Fraud Specialist through the Association of Certified Fraud Specialists, and is a professional member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and ASIS International.
Mr. Dillon received an Eagle Award from the United States Attorney's Office of the Eastern District of Texas for his distinguished achievement and dedicated service to the Law Enforcement Community. He has been honored with multiple commendations from local Police Departments and the FBI, and Mr. Dillon also has appeared in Fortune and Time magazines.
