Similarly, he produces tax insurance opportunities for corporate, private, and individual taxpayers. Alongside his work with Lockton, he leads the Development School for Youth Board of Trustees for the All Stars Project of Chicago, which offers various after-school development programs and supports many community outreach efforts. Over the past 18 years that Doug has worked with the All Stars Project, he has been dedicated to helping at-risk youth by hosting dozens of workshops and supervising hundreds of summer interns. In addition to his many roles with the All Stars Project in New York and Chicago, Doug previously served as a board member and treasurer of the Our World Neighborhood Charter School in Astoria, Queens, where he helped implement a retirement savings and matching program for the faculty and administration, and helped develop and audit the annual school budget. Mr. Brody has also leveraged his considerable knowledge to write articles, host podcasts, and speak at conventions regarding the tax and insurance industries.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Brody gained valuable expertise as a tax advisory professional at EY, advising clients on buyside sell-side and internal restructuring transactions for over 20 years. Doug utilized his technical tax and client advisory experience to transition to the insurance industry, where he has enjoyed a successful second career designing solutions for many of the same clients and former colleagues he worked with in his prior roles. An expert in his field, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 1995. Subsequently, Mr. Brody received a JD from Cornell Law School and a Master of Laws in taxation from New York University's School of Law.
Outside of his day-to-day work, Mr. Brody contributes to his industry as a lead instructor for the Tax Executives Institute and other organizations. Although his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in maintaining his passion for education, teaching thousands of attorneys, accountants, and at-risk youth. The cornerstone of his success lies in his proactive approach toward self-improvement, his willingness to help others, and his generosity. Within the coming years, Mr. Brody intends to help his children through high school and college, maintain his physical fitness through pickleball and other sports, and continue to expand his role at Lockton and the tax insurance field as a whole.
