Over the years, he has worked with such clients as Kaiser Permanente and Hibser Yamauchi Architects Inc. Alongside his work with Pacheco Professional Consulting, he is a fourth-generation glazier as well as the owner and vice president of D&C Glass and Aluminum; his family has been in the glass business for 150 years when it was carried on horse and buggy. Through D&C, Mr. Pacheco oversees office and field operations and supervises up to 20 staff members depending on the project.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Pacheco gained valuable expertise with D&C as an apprentice glazer and as a shop worker with the local union. An expert in his field, he completed coursework at his local community college after graduating from high school. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by graduating from an apprenticeship at a trade school in his area. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Pacheco aligns himself with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee and the Northern California Glass Management Association.
For D&C Glass and Aluminum's excellence in the industry, they were recognized for being in business for more than 20 years in Pleasanton. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Pacheco takes the most pride in successfully completing a large project at D&C while growing the company itself. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his grandfather's guidance. He was a wise and astute teacher who instilled in him a strong work ethic and the importance of making sacrifices early on in life. Additionally, his grandfather had two skilled colleagues working under him, from whom he learned about the ins and outs of the industry.
