Since serving as the senior vice president and chief development officer at Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in 2012, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the organization's reach and impact on addiction treatment services. Prior to his tenure at BHG, Mr. Mussleman was the vice president of business development at Alliance Oncology from 2010 to 2012. In this role, he identified and developed new business opportunities and joint ventures within the oncology sector. He began his tenure with Alliance Oncology as the vice president of oncology, mergers, and acquisitions in 2010 saw him overseeing critical integrations and expansions. Mr. Mussleman also found success as the vice president of marketing and business development at Global Physics Solution, Inc. between 2009 and 2010, responsible for preparing the company for sale by building a robust pipeline of acquisition targets.
Mr. Mussleman's spent a majority of his oncology career with US Oncology Inc., where he held various positions that showcased his ability to drive growth through strategic recruitment and development initiatives. As the vice president of urology operations and development from 2008 to 2009 and the vice president of physician development between 2004 and 2008, he significantly contributed to the company's expansion. Notably, during his tenure as the director of physician recruitment from 1995 to 2004, Mr. Mussleman was directly in charge of increasing the number of physicians from approximately 80 to over 1,250 across multiple states.
Recently, Mr. Mussleman has joined the Board of Directors of Needs Beyond Medicine, which creates financial assistance grants for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. These grants supplement living expenses not classified as medical expenses.
The foundation of Mr. Mussleman's professional success can be traced back to his academic pursuits when he earned dual degrees, Bachelor of Business Administration in management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in professional sales from Harding University in 1992.
