In his most recent role as owner, project manager, engineer and solutions architect at E2 Technical Services LLC, Mr. Bukont has been instrumental in advancing the field of audio over IP (AoIP). His work on one of the first AoIP systems for WTMD Radio stands as a testament to his ingenuity and technical prowess. Mr. Bukont has participated in standards setting committees including NRSC (National Radio Systems Committee) and Audio Engineering Society (AES) as well as contributed to industry publications.
In addition to his current vocation, Mr. Bukont served as project manager and systems engineer at Innovative Technologies Inc. from 2018 to 2019. His leadership as vice president at Comm-Struction Inc. from 2001 to 2009 also served to solidify his reputation as a forward-thinking chief engineer. Moreover, his expertise was honed through various roles starting at Voice of America from 1985 to 1988, at Fine Tuning Associates from 1988 to 1990, at Cook Inlet Radio Partners from 1990 to 1993, followed by positions at Multiphase Consulting LLC from 1993 to 1996 and at Bonneville International from 1996 to 2001. Mr. Bukont's commitment to engineering and broadcasting was evident even in his earlier years when he served as a recording engineer at Bowling Green State University from 1982 to 1985 and as a student broadcast technician at WBGU-TV from 1982 to 1983.
Mr. Bukont's academic background laid the foundation for his professional achievements, with his extensive knowledge of signal flow and service-oriented architecture methods establishing him as an esteemed specialist in the industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism and audio technology from Bowling Green State University in 1984 and later pursued a Master of Science in project management at George Washington University, completing his studies in 2013. His education has been integral to his success, providing him with the technical knowledge and project management skills necessary to excel in his field.
Preceding his educational pursuits, Mr. Bukont's fascination with audio equipment can be traced back to his childhood, when he received his first record player at 5 years old and tape recorder at 7. This interest blossomed into a career that paralleled the technical pursuits of his father, who worked with the space program, and his brother's architectural endeavors.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Bukont is an avid reader on technology topics who enjoys photography, electronics, audio production and engaging in creative processes.
