Prior to her current entrepreneurial venture, she owned and operated a salon from 2012 to 2019 and worked with Leatherneck Magazine for over 10 years. Along with her business and entrepreneurial experience, Ms. Carrasquilla holds a Bachelor of Science in veterinary medicine from the University of Florida. Despite her degree traditionally aligning with an industry outside of the wine world, her education has provided her with a strong foundation in science and critical thinking, which has proved beneficial in her understanding of the complexities of wine production and exportation. Moreover, she credits her success in navigating a new industry as a result of her adaptability, a trait sharpened over years of adjusting to new environments, as a part of a Marine Corps family who served over the course of two decades of war.
Furthermore, as a result of her upbringing in a military family, Ms. Carrasquilla holds membership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and is civically involved with the Warrior Wheels Foundation and the Women's Center in Tampa.
