Receiving comprehensive training at this time, she developed a keen understanding of finances and grants. She also cultivated expertise in computer technology.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Stevens credits the unparalleled support from her family, who offered encouragement and a beacon of light during moments of strife in her personal and professional life. Although she has experienced numerous career milestones, she is particularly gratified by the opportunity to acquire knowledge in computer operations, repair and troubleshooting while working in the technology department at Purdue University, which presented her with remarkable challenges that she embraced with much success.
