With the US FDA tenure of 15+ years, Dr Singh ventured into pharmaceutical industry and served and held several executive/leadership positions. His leadership roles include Senior Vice President and Head of the Cipla Respiratory Center of Excellence, head of clinical and regulatory affairs for Axar Pharmaceuticals, and the director of inhalation drug product strategy and biopharmaceutics for Watson Laboratories. Likewise, he has been a key contributor to several studies through the Food and Drug Administration and other entities. In addition to supporting the FDA handling of the scientific aspects of certain lawsuits to its approval of certain generic drug products, Dr. Singh enthusiastically participated in, while chairing some, FDA committees to develop new guidelines. He has made notable contributions from both within and outside the Agency in pursuit of novel nonclinical approaches with the potential of saving millions of dollars in clinical testing required to support product registration.
An expert in with international recognition his field, Dr. Singh earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Punjab Agricultural University. Subsequently, he completed his education with a PhD from the University of Birmingham in England. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, he respects among the noted experts in the field, aligns with widely recognized international societies/organization including the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine, the American College of Pharmacology, Respiratory Drug Delivery, Drug Delivery to Lungs, Pulmonary Drug Delivery, the American Thoracic Society, and the European Thoracic Society. Outside of his work, Dr. Singh contributes to charity and lives to help the needy, as much as possible.
