While her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Morel takes the most joy in saving the life of a man who collapsed in front of her, keeping him alive until the ambulance arrived.
DOWNINGTOWN, PA, March 22, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lin Morel with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Lin Morel celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven to make positive changes in the world, Dr. Morel resolved to draw on her traumatic experiences to help others. As the child of a bipolar mother and an alcoholic father, she ran away at the age of 17 and under the tutelage of her judo teacher, she began teaching martial arts to adults. She expanded her martial arts studies to karate and eventually Tai Chi and Qi Gong. These practices allowed her to find stability, equanimity, and confidence, which turned her life around. She became a multiple gold medalist and nationally ranked champion in the AAU. During the late 1960s, she sought refuge from her past through higher education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1973. In the ensuing years, Dr. Morel experienced more trauma, including the abduction of her 12-year-old daughter, who found her mother nine years later. A fire claimed her retreat center, Endless Mountains Retreat Center, in a fire, and her mother passed away in a house fire only six short weeks prior.
Despite the significant traumas she endured, Dr. Morel was driven to work through her own issues and learn how to assist other people through their own. Over the years, she gained valuable business expertise as the founder and co-founder of Conscious Coach Training, Ai Do Kung Fu, and the Academy of Asian Arts. Similarly, she worked as the co-owner of the Academy of Martial Arts. In 1984, she was invited and participated in the first goodwill martial arts tour in Mainland China, which opened new vistas and opportunities to begin her own business. She returned home and began her stress management group using martial arts philosophy. Driven to further her knowledge, Dr. Morel earned a Master of Arts in applied psychology from the University of Santa Monica, as well as a master's degree in applied theology and a Doctor of Spiritual Science from Peace Theological Seminary.
Backed by nearly 20 years of expertise in nonprofit leadership, spiritual direction, business, and more, Dr. Morel excels as the founder and chief executive officer of Beyond Words Group, Inc., established as Lin Morel & Associates in 1984. Through her company, she works directly with internationally based corporate-level executives, entrepreneurs, documentary filmmakers, scientists, and more to assist them through mental blocks and suicidal ideations. Since establishing Beyond Words, Dr. Morel has continued her education, completing the Alchemy Plus Leadership Training Program through the Annenberg Foundation, a spiritual direction certificate through Christian Formation & Direction Ministries, domestic violence leadership training, and Reiki.
Due to her vast knowledge in several fields, Dr. Morel has authored such publications as "Beyond Lovelyville: A Parable of Self-Awareness and Rising Above Trauma," "How to Find a Job During and After COVID-19: A Guide to Handling Emotions to Help Land the Perfect Job," "Soul Lifts: From Bumps to Brilliance" and "Heaven's Helpful Hints: There's God in Your Soup!" Additionally, she has been featured in The New York Times, appeared on PBS, NBC, and The Discovery Channel, and presented "Resolving Emotions to Resolve Disease: The Healing Consciousness" at the Academy of Comprehensive Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Lin Morel continues to expand her reach as she supports those seeking to break free from their limitations. In so doing, she has created a ripple effect. She was a long-time member of the National Speakers Association and a founding member of the Evolutionary Business Council. Given her professional achievements, she earned a Los Angeles Commendation for Community Impact through her work with the non-profit, A Window Between Worlds. She attained a 5th degree blackbelt, became a nationally ranked karate champion, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Association of Top Professionals. She also received the Marquis Who's Who Distinguished Humanitarian Award.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Morel takes the most joy in saving the life of a man who collapsed in front of her, keeping him alive until the ambulance arrived.
