As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A pioneer in the use of convected heat to eradicate insects and microorganisms, including bed bugs, Dr. Linford has excelled with GreenTech Heat Solutions as the chief executive officer since 2010. In his position he manufactures heaters and fans that are developed into insect-eradicating equipment. His businesses provide equipment, training and project analysis to companies and individuals needing fulfillment in these areas. His organization comprises teams in California, Florida, Virginia, and Colorado. Linford manages sales, cash flow, and customer service for the aforementioned companies. He served as president and owner of TPE Associates in 1989. Dr. Linford organized the Division of Fumigation with Columbia Pest Control in 1975 where he found success as the president and chief executive officer.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Linford initially pursued an education at Brigham Young University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 1973 and a Master's Degree in Organizational Behavior in 1975. He continued his academic efforts at Claremont Graduate University, obtaining both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Management in 1985. Following these accomplishments, he refined his expertise with a Master's Degree in Ancient Scripture from the Church Educational System in 1999. Dr. Linford concluded his formal studies at Ashbourne University in 2004 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management using his EPA-approved and university-reviewed technology as his dissertation.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dr. Linford has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. He was called as a missionary volunteer with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in Bolivia and Peru between 1967 and 1970. He has also served as a bishop for 400 Spanish-speaking Families in Orange County, California from 1990 to 1997. Formerly published as an author of technical manuals for wood-destroying organisms and general pests, he has also penned "Hot House: A Selective History of Convected Heat in the Pest Control and Remediation Industries" in 2019. This is a book that highlights the evolution and use of convected heat in the pest control and environmental remediation fields. It highlights notable achievements including letters from U.S. Congress and other professionals in these industries. Moreover, Dr. Linford most recently authored the book "Christ in the Americas" in 2021.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Linford and his companies have accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was subsequently nominated for The Congressional Medal of Honor for Innovation and Technology in the U.S. in 2010. In 2018, Dr. Linford's company was honored with a Biosecurity Award from the Country of New Zealand.
Notably, Dr. Linford has developed, commercialized and patented an EPA-approved technology that replaces harmful chemical fumigants with convected heat. He negotiated licenses to use his patented technology with companies such as Orkin and Terminix. The application of his technologies has been used to disinfect lecture halls from the COVID-19 virus and eradicate bed bug-ridden dormitories in Papua New Guinea. Beyond his work with GreenTech Heat Solutions, Dr. Linford also aided Spanish families in getting their legal status in the United States. He has conducted research in pre-Inca and Mayan ruins throughout Central and South America, as well as with Native Americans.
Dr. Linford has attributed his success to his hard work, determination, and his faith in the Lord, who helped him miraculously survive an inoperable tumor and taught him to never take life for granted. Hailing from a family with an extensive history in structural fumigation dating back to the 1940s, he researched exposure to the use of toxic methyl bromide and sulfuryl fluoride and their effect on the environment and living creatures. All of this inspired him to shift his attention to a heat-driven solution, which was later confirmed as efficacious by a myriad of experts including Dr. Walter Ebeling, Dr. Charles Forbes, Dr. Mike Rust, Dr. Ken Grace, and Dr. Vernard Lewis, among others. Looking toward the future, Dr. Linford hopes to reach his goal of $4 million in gross annual revenue with GreenTech Heat Solutions/Thermal Remediation advocating for the use of his technology, equipment and products to kill insects, fungal, bacterial and viral agents before retiring and shifting his full attention to his wife of more than 50 years.
