From 2017 to 2019, Mrs. Brookins-Lamb honed her skills as a network engineer at Sungard Availability Services. There, she was instrumental in managing and troubleshooting network issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. Her tenure at Xcel Energy from 2015 to 2017 stands out as a significant milestone in her career. It was during this time that she helped implement and develop a Network Operations Center (NOC) for the power company and the state's Department of Transportation, an achievement she regards with great pride.
Mrs. Brookins-Lamb's academic background laid the foundation for her successful career. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Northern Arizona University in 2016. Prior to that, she completed two Associate of Applied Science degrees from Estrella Mountain Community College in 2014—one in computer systems networking and telecommunications and another as a Linux administrator. These qualifications have been instrumental in equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of network engineering.
Mrs. Brookins-Lamb has also been a Colorado real estate broker for 17 years, and along with her spouse maintains and co-owns their own business, Aurora Home Pros, LLC, which has been building and installing residential standard and custom doors since 2001.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Brookins-Lamb is interested in expanding her expertise within Charter Communications. She is eager to embrace new technologies and is considering a shift towards consulting roles within the industry. Her current focus on configurations and troubleshooting is now complemented by an increased involvement in testing processes.
