Moreover, Dr. Sunilkumar completed science alliance leadership training at the New York Academy of Science in 2017. Remaining at the forefront of his career, Dr. Sunilkumar is a professional member of the Society of Toxicology, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Diabetes Association.
Dr. Sunilkumar has been recognized for his achievements through numerous accolades, including the American Diabetes Association Postdoctoral fellowship in 2023, the Vary Endowment Travel Award from the Penn State College of Medicine, department of cellular and molecular physiology, in 2022 and the Children's Miracle Network Trainee Research Grant from the Pennsylvania State Health Children's Hospital in 2021. Additionally, he received the Graduate/Postdoctoral Annual Meeting Award in 2021 from the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2021.
