    VALDOSTA, GA, March 29, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Henry Lee Everson, PE, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Everson is a professional engineer with a remarkable career spanning over five decades. Since 2016, he has served as the president and chief consultant at Everson's Electrical Engineering (EEE) Consulting Firm, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. Among a myriad of responsibilities, Mr. Everson is actively engaged in business project designs approvals, and operations, from monitoring communications with prospective clients to providing expert witness testimony for civil and criminal cases.

Leading a distinguished career in electrical and electronic engineering, electrical power, and management, Mr. Everson's accomplishments have earned him recognition as an authority in his field. Before launching EEE Consulting, he dedicated nearly 40 years to Georgia Power Company in Columbus, Albany, Valdosta, Tifton, Bainbridge, Waycross & Jessup Georgia. From 1977 to 2016, he progressed through various engineering roles, including area planning engineer, distribution engineer, district engineer, and electrical engineering supervisor. Mr. Everson's tenure at the company was also marked by significant achievements, such as overseeing the installation of its first solar farm in Arlington, Georgia, the first animal proofed three phase overhead distribution circuit in Valdosta, Georgia and provided electric service to the largest three phase (100HP) motor from a single-phase overhead distribution circuit with a Ronk phase converter on the Goodson Farm in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Before joining Georgia Power Company, Mr. Everson honed his skills at several prestigious institutions. He was an electronic data acquisition engineer at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, The K-25 enrichment uranium plant in Rockwood, Tennessee. He also garnered success at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the nuclear division of Union Carbide Corporation in Oak Ridge., Tennessee.

The influence of family and mentors played a crucial role in shaping Mr. Everson's drive and commitment to education. The support from his parents, principal and teachers provided him with the best high school education. At the same time, participation in programs like The Negro Farmers of America and The Future Farmers of America exposed him to diverse fields and skill sets. Among other interests, Mr. Everson has been active in the community as a member of the Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, the Southside Recreation Center Inc, the Valdosta Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and the Greater Albany/Valdosta Areas National Alumni Association of Savannah State University. He also participates in community initiatives led by the Savannah State University Alumni Association, such as school visits and recruitment fairs. Additionally, Mr. Everson is active during Engineer's Week by engaging with high school students and organizations to promote engineering.

Mr. Everson's educational background laid the foundation for his professional success. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in electronic engineering technology from Savannah State College (now Savannah State University) in 1972. He also achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in electrical power systems from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in 1977 and a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University. His formative education began with a diploma from Excelsior High School in Rochelle, Georgia, in 1968. Apart from his degrees, Mr. Everson received designation as a licensed professional electrical engineer in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Mr. Everson is affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, and the Order of the Engineers. He is also a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Furthermore, Mr. Everson is a member of SEAK Inc., an organization dedicated to providing education and support within the expert witness arena.

In recognition of his hard work and dedication to his field, Mr. Everson holds a provisional patent for the Wattage Watcher/Voltage Monitor-Detector. He also received an Advanced Toastmaster Bronze Award from Toastmasters International during his tenure as a member.
