Over the last 20-plus years, he has placed over $5 billion in real estate and capital markets transactions and managed the underwriting, joint venture structuring, and Blue-Sky registration for private placement registrations.
While successfully running Investors Realty Services, Mr. Johannsen served in executive roles with such companies as NAI Miami Commercial Real Estate Services, Colliers International, Thomas D. Wood & Co., and Aztec Group, Inc. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, he has also testified as an expert witness in the Palm Beach County, Broward County, and Miami Dad County Circuit Courts, as well as the United States Federal Court for the Eleventh District and the United States District Court for the Northern and Eastern District of Ohio. Similarly, Mr. Johannsen has parlayed his expertise to Palm Beach State College and Broward College students.
An expert in his field, Mr. Johannsen earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from Rollins College and an MBA from the college's Crummer Graduate School of Business. In the ensuing years, he also became a licensed private pilot and boat captain and a Certified Commercial Investment Member through the CCIM Institute. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in mentoring up-and-comers in the industry, serving as a past co-editor of "Brokers Text book" for the state of Florida, and obtaining a patent for the design and construction of a high-rise mausoleum.
