LITTLETON, CO, April 01, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bernadette M. Spillane has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Spillane is an experienced nonprofit executive who serves as the president of Happy Dog Ranch Foundation Inc., a therapeutic horse rescue and sanctuary in Littleton, Colorado.
Recognized for supporting both humans and horses, the sanctuary provides a safe and supportive environment that leads to wholeness and peace via equine and animal-supported educational, vocational, and therapeutic programs for individuals of all ages. In addition to the foundation's primary services, Happy Dog Ranch Foundation Inc. hosts monthly events, seminars, and equine clinics with featured guests, as well as dinners, concerts, and much more.
Before taking over as Happy Dog's president, Ms. Spillane was a manager at the ranch from 2006 to 2011. Attributing her success in the industry to networking and collaboration, she began by owning a horse and eventually securing a piece of property for it to reside on. As more and more locals began seeking to secure locations to care for horses, Ms. Spillane started to take them in. Naming the property Happy Dog, even though they care for horses, not dogs, the foundation has garnered remarkable success.
During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Spillane was heavily involved in martial arts as the president of East/West Karate between 1987 and 2005, where she also had the opportunity to work with children with special needs. Between her foundation and her martial arts school, her dedication and hard work have made a real difference in the lives of children, and she looks forward to continually doing so. Ms. Spillane also aims to establish a rehabilitation site for horses and begin educating horse owners on how to take better care of their horses. She is presently in the process of purchasing the property where the foundation sits.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Spillane attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education in 1978.
