Likewise, she is co-founder of Project AGO in the field of hydroponics, through which she oversees contract negotiations and develops operational procedures. For nearly two and a half decades, she has worked as a Notary Public specializing in refinance, sales, reverse mortgages, debt reduction, and wills. Over the years, Ms. Nelson has honed her expertise in family law, trusts, wills, and more as the office manager and paralegal for Lerman Law Associates.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Nelson worked with foreign governments to design 5-star resorts as the owner of Kosha Enterprises. She managed insurance and annuities for the Stanford Group Company, where she coordinated insurance and annuity activities for six of the company's locations. Before starting her career in business management and quality assurance, Ms. Nelson established a Speech – language Department and Clinic at North Carolina State University and gained valuable expertise as a speech and hearing pathologist through directing the speech clinic at University of North Carolina, Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center, North Carolina Memorial Hospital, and Sunshine School for Orthopedically Handicapped Children and consulted for Rinehart and Winston Publishing Company, Harnett County Public Schools, and the Johnston County Early Childhood Intervention Program.
An expert in her field, Ms. Nelson earned a Bachelor's degree in English, Education, and Speech Pathology with a minor in History and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Redlands. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a certification in conducting foreign accent improvement programs, a substitute teaching certification, and Colorado Real Estate and Insurance Producer Licenses. She has aligned herself with many professional associations through her careers to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes and most recently was chairperson of the Planning Commission in Florence, Colorado. Ms. Nelson has contributed to her community through writing both state and federal grants for the communities in her area.
Due to her vast breadth of knowledge, Ms. Nelson has authored several articles and contributed to conferences around the United States. In addition to delivering a presentation on "Public Speaking and Voice Control," she wrote and co-wrote such works as "An Objective Evaluation of Esophageal Speech" and "Piaget and the Center for Perceptual Disturbance." While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in authoring a textbook "Foundation of Communication Theory Manual" and founding a nonprofit. The cornerstone of her success lies in her hard work, dedication, and years of experience.
In her spare time, Ms. Nelson golfs, knits and maintains her award winning garden.
