Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his commitment to prioritizing the quality of his products and his steadfast resolve.
MCKINNEY, TX, April 02, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gary Stevens has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A seasoned businessman with years of professional expertise in residential home building and construction, Mr. Stevens excels as the owner of Good Roast Coffee Company, and Conic, LLC, a residential construction company and consultancy. Similarly, he parlays his expertise to students as a carpentry and construction management professor at Collin College, where he began as an adjunct associate professor. Previously, Mr. Stevens was a construction manager and project developer for Highland Homes and Huntington Remodeling from 2014 until 2021.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Stevens gained valuable expertise in construction, project management, and design with a variety of custom residential homebuilders in New England, Big D Metalworks, and Continental Bronze. As a young man, he shadowed his father, a carpenter, his uncles, successful contractors, and his grandfather, an accomplished excavator and truck driver. During his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in operations management from Johnson & Wales University. Subsequently, Mr. Stevens received an MBA in organizational leadership from the Alan Shawn Feinstein Graduate School.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Stevens aligns himself with several industry organizations, including the National Association of Home Builders, Texas Association of Builders, Dallas Builders Association and the International Council of Architecture and Art. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, his staircase project for Fidelity Investments in Smithfield Town, Rhode Island, was featured in The Fabricator Magazine, a trade association publication of the National Ornamental Miscellaneous Metals Association while employed at Continental Bronze. Alongside his work, Mr. Stevens also contributes as a board member of GoSendMe Global, an organization that provides missionary care overseas supporting 80 missionaries in 40 countries. He personally oversees mission field construction projects and entrepreneurial leadership initiatives.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Stevens takes the most pride in establishing Conic, LLC in 2003 and teaching construction management at Collin College. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his commitment to prioritizing the quality of his products and his steadfast resolve. Looking ahead, he intends to focus on creating housing that is not only functional but also visually appealing and comfortable. In recent years, Mr. Stevens has noticed a decline in traditional methods of design due to the desire for faster and cheaper approaches. However, this also compromises quality, which he hopes to address through his work.
