OSPREY, FL, April 03, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Bob Johnson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Bob Johnson celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Upon graduating from Zanesville High School in 1965, Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in engineering and accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Backed by his considerable education, he held key positions in financial analysis and accounting with GE Aircraft Engines, including managing director, vice president and general manager of the global field service engineering team and global aviation services. Subsequently, Mr. Johnson transferred his skills to AAR, another aviation company, as the vice president and general manager of manufacturing and services.

Over the years, Mr. Johnson honed his expertise in engineering and aviation in the defense and space manufacturing industries, serving as the vice president and general manager of aerospace services for Allied Signal Corporation and as the vice president of general manager of global repair and overhaul operations for AlliedSignal Electronic & Avionics Systems. He played a pivotal role in AlliedSignal's acquisition of Honeywell, where he eventually became the chief executive officer. After retiring from Honeywell in 2005, Mr. Johnson was invited by President Bush to become the secretary of America's Navy. However, he felt driven to follow a different path, serving as an adviser with Singapore Aerospace Technologies, SIFCO Industries, Inc., and Stirling Energy Systems.

Post retirement, Mr. Johnson was also asked by the ruler of Dubai to establish Dubai Aerospace Enterprise with nearly $15 billion in funding. For three years, he excelled in the role before leveraging his considerable industry knowledge in board positions with Honeywell International, Beechcraft, Spirit Airlines, Roper Industries, Ariba, Inc., and Phelps Dodge International. Drawing on a notable career's worth of knowledge and experience, Mr. Johnson excels as the board chairman for Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. and Elbit Systems of America.

An expert in his field, Mr. Johnson furthered his expertise by completing executive leadership training and earning a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Likewise, he aligned himself with the Sigma Chi Foundation for many years. In conjunction with his work, he has contributed to his community through the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Greater Phoenix Leadership, Inc., and Drug-Free Arizona Organization.

Due to his vast knowledge, Mr. Johnson co-authored "Developing Global Leaders: A Guide to Managing Effectively in Unfamiliar Places" in 2012. Additionally, he was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame through Business Friends of Singapore, the Sigma Chi Fraternity Hall of Fame, and the Zanesville Ohio Hall of Fame. For his outstanding achievements, he was also named the Executive of the Year by Miami University and the Farmer School of Business. While his career has been filled with numerous highlights, Mr. Johnson takes the most pride in collaborating with industry visionaries, including Larry Bossidy, the chairman and chief executive officer of Allied Signal Corporation. Mr. Bossidy liaises with the chairman of British Airways, who branded Allied Signal an industry "Satan." Inspired to combat this image, Mr. Bossidy hired Mr. Johnson, who transformed the company image to one of the most esteemed in the industry. Aside from the reputation he has fostered, he is honored to have crafted nearly every component present in aircraft today, including engines, fuselages, cockpits, landing systems, and auxiliary power unit equipment.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Johnson credits his success to his parents, upbringing in a close-knit small town, natural intelligence, and steadfast work ethic. Although he is 75 years, he has chosen to forgo retirement for the next five years. Ultimately, Mr. Johnson aims to explore the world and travel to exceptional destinations alongside his wife.
