Mr. Culley is a seasoned professional who has mastered technical qualifications in emergency and catastrophe claims' response. His seasoned leadership skills generate extensive travel within the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean in response to natural disasters and individual claim events.
Keith Culley's professional career path began in 1991 working for Aetna. Throughout the stages of his career, he gained valuable experience as an Assistant Vice President of Property and Energy Claims in Bermuda, as well as the US Property Claims Manager for Allied World Assurance Company. By leveraging his considerable experience and knowledge, he provided stability and growth to the property and energy claims department. He maintained a caseload that included complex claims for Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Wilma, and Ivan, and the World Trade Center terrorist attacks in excess of $3 billion. Likewise, he worked with the underwriting department to develop quality customer service and reporting practices. Over the years he has worked for American International Group, and the AIU Claims Management Dept., Crawford and Company, Edward R. Reilly & Company, and York Risk Service Group which was acquired by Sedgwick in 2019.
Mr. Culley earned a Bachelor of Science in business management from St. Francis College in 1991. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge, completing a master's degree in emergency and disaster management from Trident University in 2007, as well as previous studies in construction technology and advanced construction estimating at SUNY Farmingdale.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Keith Culley aligns himself with the Loss Executives Association, the Property & Liability Resource Bureau, the California Insurance Emergency Response Association, and more. Outside of his work, he contributes to his community through The CulleyStrong Foundation, an organization his family established in the wake of his nephew's passing by suicide. Through The CulleyStrong Foundation, he brings attention to mental health awareness and suicide prevention and provides high school students peer-to-peer support through the nationally established education system known as Hope Squad.
While his career has been filled with accomplishment highlights, Keith Culley takes the most pride in handling complex cases with confidence, even when dealing with difficult events such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes and the Gulf oil spill. The youngest of seven children to James Culley, a WWII veteran, and loving mother Grace, as a cancer survivor, he credits his wife, Virginia, son Shane, and daughter Amanda, as well as his long list of military and non-military family members and friends for all the continued support. He participated in many sports in his youth and through Division 1 college athletics. Mr. Culley has learned the importance of professional communication efficiency with a team.
