Knieter, EdD, emeritus professor of music at California State University, Northridge, has been selected for a feature in the Thirteenth Edition of Marquis Millennium Magazine. Released triannually, Millennium Magazine features the narrative biographies of the world's most esteemed and accomplished professionals. Dr. Gerard L. Knieter commenced his career as a junior and senior high school music teacher on Long Island, New York, where he specialized in teaching interdisciplinary studies in visual arts and music. He developed two new courses, "A Symposium in the Creative Arts" and "Fine Arts in Historical Perspective." In addition to his choral work, he conducted a Gilbert and Sullivan Workshop. Following his departure from New York, he served as an assistant professor of music and education at San Jose State University.
